The Wisconsin Maritime Museum engages and educates the public about the maritime history of Wisconsin in the Great Lakes region, including Wisconsin’s World War II submarines and USS Cobia, by collecting and preserving artifacts and archival materials; creating interactive exhibits; promoting research; and developing and implementing maritime history and marine natural resource environmental educational programs.
The museum is closed New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
*Except during the weeks of Christmas and New Year's. Groups tours available upon request at least two weeks in advance.
Guided tours of the submarine are offered daily, weather permitting, throughout the year and are included with your museum admission. Tour times are approximate and subject to change. Allow three to four hours to fully explore the Museum and tour USS Cobia.
Tours are available throughout the day as needed and last approximately 45 minutes. The last tour of the day is an hour before close.

Rates include access to both the museum and USS Cobia submarine. We accept Mastercard, Visa and Discover cards.

Seniors (65+): $12 Veterans: $12
Active military members receive free admission with current ID card.
We are proud to participate in the National Blue Star Museums program which offers free admission to active military and their immediate families (spouse and minor children). This program runs annually Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Overnight participants receive a guided tour and overnight accommodation on board the World War II submarine USS Cobia. In addition to undertaking various educational activities, participants enjoy special supervised access to some non-public areas of the submarine and admission to the Museum.
