For more information, please call (920) 684-0218.

Submarine

USS Cobia is a designated National Historic Landmark and as such, is not accessible by wheelchair. There are two sets of stairs on Cobia and seven watertight doors. We have an example of these doors for visitors to test out.

Parking

Accessible parking is available in front of the Museum and in the lot across the street. Ramps lead to the front doors. Elevators make each floor accessible.

Restrooms

Two all-gender restrooms are available on the lower level of the museum.

Most of our restrooms have baby-changing tables in both the men’s and women’s restrooms.

All Hands on Deck

All Hands on Deck is the Museum’s initiative to make education and learning accessible to all learners. We believe true accessibility removes physical, cognitive, financial and geographic barriers; this is what we strive for.
All Hands on Deck supports the creation of materials to make learning more accessible for people with disabilities. This includes the complimentary availability of a communication book, a social narrative, fidgets and headphones at the front desk.
A key piece of All Hands on Deck is the Fund that financially supports visits to the museum for underserved groups. To request support from the Fund, contact the Education Department.
