Submarine Sleepovers for Families & Grown-Ups
Sleep aboard WWII submarine USS Cobia, sound the dive alarm, learn about life on a submarine, and try your hand at a variety of engaging educational activities as you learn!
Youth Overnight Program participation is $50 per person for both youth and adults. Programming runs from 7:30PM arrival until about 11:00 PM. Exclusive Museum exhibits and galleries admission is also included in the morning before we are open to the public! This experience is suitable for ages 7 and up.
Reserving A Youth Overnight
Request A Reservation – Find a date with availability on the calendar below and fill out the Reservation Request Form. Please note, the amount of participants that you reserve is what you are financially responsible for – no exceptions.
Submit Your Deposit – Submit a $200.00 non-refundable deposit within 14 days of receiving confirmation that your reservation has been scheduled. Share the Overnight Info Sheet with potential participants!
Have a change in numbers prior to your visit? You must confirm, in writing, any attendance changes with the Overnight Coordinator at least 45 days prior to your visit. After the 45 day mark, you are financially responsible for the number indicated in your reservation. No refunds will be given for last-minute cancellations.
45 Days Prior – Your final payment (along with your final headcount, in writing) is due no later than 45 days prior to your visit. It is your responsibility to have your payment in on time. We will not be responsible for gathering or collecting payments from individuals. If your group is not paid in full at least 45 days prior to your scheduled visit, your reservation will be cancelled and your deposit lost.
30 Days Prior – Review Overnight Leaders’ Guide and share necessary information (schedule, packing list, guidelines, etc.) with all parents/guardians/group leaders regardless if they are attending or not. Make sure all necessary forms are filled out by all participants (youth and adult).
14 Days Prior – Submit your completed roster no later than two weeks prior to your visit.
Optional: preorder USS Cobia Overnight Patches for your group! Patches are also available to purchase the morning following your stay.
Night of Your Visit – Check in your group with our Overnight Crew at 7:30PM. Have fun!
Youth Overnight Availability
USS Cobia‘s maximum capacity on any given night is 65 participants. Please note that if your group does not fill all available spots, your stay may be shared with other youth organizations/groups. Available nights are designated by the amount of spots still available on the calendar below.
Necessary Forms

- Overnight Deposit Form – due within 14 days of your reservation
- Final Payment Form – Due 45 days prior to your visit.
- Waiver and Release of Liability
Optional
- Additional Participant Form – to add additional participants after your final payment has been made.
- Medical Information
- This form is only needed if staff need to be informed of a medical condition.
Badge Opportunities!
Participating in the Overnight Program can cover some badge requirements! We also offer additional badge programming if interested. This would be in addition to the regular overnight program. Visit our Scout Pages for information!
