Think & Drink – The Music of “Victory at Sea”

June 6 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Please join the Wisconsin Maritime Museum on June 6th at 6:30pm for our Think & Drink series presentation “The Music of Victory at Sea” with Professor George Ferencz. The featured drink of the night will be a Suffering Bastard.

In 1952-53, NBC brought WWII right into American living rooms as network television found its way into homes across the country. Victory at Sea’s 26 episodes, with their vivid orchestra score and footage sourced from 14 warring nations, took viewers into every theater of the war. On the 80th anniversary of D-Day, join Professor George Ferencz to learn about NBC’s prize winning WWII documentary series.

Alcohol and nonalcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at the limited bar.

Doors and bar open at 6:00 pm. The talk will begin at 6:30 pm. This talk will only be available in person. Admission is free.

For more information about this talk and upcoming events at the museum please visit our website https://www.wisconsinmaritime.org/ or on Facebook @WIMaritimeMuseum.

Please note: although these events incorporate a thematic drink, there is no requirement or emphasis on alcohol consumption. If you or a loved one is struggling with alcohol and/or drug abuse, please reach out to the national substance abuse helpline at 1-800-662-HELP.
