The History and Archaeology of the Rouse Simmons

Commonly known as “The Christmas Tree Ship,” Rouse Simmons was a frequent sight along the Manitowoc shores. Disaster struck on November 23, 1912, when a violent storm caused the ship to sink just off the shore of Two Rivers.
Learn all about the history of the ship, its sinking, and the modern archaeological work being done to preserve and protect the wreck.
