If you are interested in a particular date you can use the calendar below to see which dates are currently available at the museum. Available dates and times are written in green. Then call Wendy at 920-684-0218 ext. 115 or email wlutzke@wisconsinmaritime.org to make your arrangements.

Directions:

•  From Milwaukee: I-43 north to Exit 152, Hwy 10 east. Turn right (east) off the exit ramp and continue east on Hwy 10 (also called Waldo Blvd.) to Lake Michigan (approx. 3 miles). Turn right onto Maritime Drive and follow for 1 mile.
• From Green Bay: I-43 south to Exit 152, Hwy 10 east. Turn left off the exit ramp and continue east on Hwy 10 (also called Waldo Blvd.) to Lake Michigan (approx. 3 miles). Turn right onto Maritime Drive and follow for 1 mile.
• From Appleton/Fox Cities: Hwy 10 to I-43. Go south on I-43 to Exit 152, Hwy 10 east. Turn left off the exit ramp and continue east on Hwy 10 (also called Waldo Blvd.) to Lake Michigan (approx. 3 miles). Turn right onto Maritime Drive and follow for 1 mile.  
• From Fond du Lac: Hwy 151 or Hwy 23 to I-43 north to exit 152, Hwy 10 east. Turn right (east) off the exit ramp and continue east on Hwy 10 (also Waldo Blvd.) to Lake Michigan (approx. 3 miles). Turn right onto Maritime Drive and follow for 1 mile.

Planning your visit:

• We want you to have a great learning experience here at the Wisconsin Maritime Museum!  For that reason, if your total number (including students, teachers, and chaperones) falls between 23-46, please be ready to split into two groups.  If your total number falls between 46-72, please be ready to split into three groups.  If your total is over 72, please be ready to split into four groups.  If you can have those groups determined before arrival, it will make your visit run smoothly! We will rotate you through your pre-selected activities.
• Please ensure that you have a minimum of two adults per group.
•  Because of our limit on the submarine, it is important that you call if there are changes in the number of people attending.  Please call at least 24 hours in advance of your visit if possible (for example, if several more parents decide to come along as chaperones, we need to know that!)

During your visit:

• If you will be more than 15 minutes later than your planned arrival time, please call the museum at (920) 684-0218. We are often working with tight scheduling conditions, especially in the spring and summer, so your help is appreciated!
• Have the group leader check in at the reception desk.
• Drop off students in the bus unloading zone in front of the museum. You can often leave your bus there, or you can park it in the parking lot to the east of the museum or across the street from the museum.
• Payment is due upon arrival. The museum requires one payment for the entire group. Please make checks payable to the Wisconsin Maritime Museum. Credit card payment (Visa, Mastercard) is also accepted.
• Please note: Lunchroom space may be available here at the museum depending on scheduling.  Please arrange this before your visit.
• Please provide discipline as needed, since you know your students better than we do!

 Museum Rules:

Note: Please review rules with your students prior to arriving at the museum.

• Students should leave backpacks on the bus or in the car. 
• Flash photography is prohibited in the galleries but is allowed in the Children’s Waterways Room and submarine.
• Videotaping is not allowed.
• Please walk rather than run in the museum, on the gangway, or on the submarine.
• Food, drinks, candy, and gum are not allowed in the museum galleries or on the submarine. 
• Please ask before touching anything on display in the museum or on the submarine unless instructed to do so.

 Museum Store:

Please let us know if you’d like to visit our museum store during your visit. We carry a wide variety of books and items about maritime history and submarines in all price ranges. We can work time into your schedule for this if you’d like.
