The education staff is happy to announce that we now have a friends' group for our education programs!  We're inviting people interested in youth and education to provide input, brainstorm ideas, and volunteer some time to ensure that the museum is meeting the needs of the youth in our community through its programming.

Here are some areas where the museum could use the help of creative, energetic minds (and hands, too!)

• Community members being willing to share on exhibit advisory committees to help the museum add new hands-on exhibits that will appeal to visitors of all ages
• Volunteer help with our Red, White and Blue Rendezvous on July 4th, 2013
• Volunteer help from people who enjoy canoeing or being on the water for our summer camp session    (last two weeks of June)
• Ideas for bringing STEM into the museum’s programming and exhibits
• Overall fundraising ideas for youth and family activities at the museum
